How Often To Clean Your Hot Tub Filter?

Weekly

Follow instructions given by the filter cleaner for appropriate amounts. Soak your filter for several hours or overnight, per the directions for the cleaner. Remove and rinse again with water from the hose or sink.
Yearly
Replace your filter with a new one completely. You may need to do this before the year is up if your hot tub endures frequent or heavier usage than normal, the water isn’t regularly cleaned or treated, the filter isn’t regularly cleaned, or the filter has visible damage such as a crack.
Cleaning Your Hot Tub Filter

- Filter flosser
- Spare filter
- Large bucket
During your weekly cleaning, you will only need a hose, filter flosser, and filter cleaner. Use your hose, or hose with filter flosser attachment, and spray the filter down. Be sure to get into all the nooks and crannies of your filter to make sure that all of the debris is removed.
If your filter could benefit from a little extra cleaning, use some of your cleaning product and then wash it away.

Power down your hot tub and remove the filter, then place your spare filter in its place and turn the spa back on. This will allow for your hot tub to continue operating while your filter is being cleaned.
